This 911 was just traded in at a local Lexus dealer, and two technicians took it for the road test portion of the safety test. Odd that they needed two techs for this test! They swore they were doing 30 mph -- which is funny, since the spoiler deploys at 55 mph and doesn't stow away again until the car is stopped. Or perhaps they used the cockpit override for "safety" reasons, as well. So they were obviously doing better than 60, started to spin, crossed the road and smashed into a tree at about 170 degrees from their original direction. Regardless, the car protected both technicians to the point where the driver went right back to work, and the passenger was checked at the hospital and released. No broken bones, no cuts, nothing. From an impact which must have been at least 40-50 mph after the spin!
