According to forum member Nick Yoskin, he’s seen a picture of a crash 991 GT3 RS that was purportedly being tested by Motor Trend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. According to the thread originator, the car was a total loss. Later in the post, a picture is shared of a damaged GT3 RS, in purple, purportedly taken at Laguna Seca. We also know, thanks to Motor Trend‘s social media channels, that they were testing a purple GT3 RS there, along with a Z06 Corvette and a Viper ACR. From the picture, it hardly looks like a total loss. Also, the way automakers insure press loans is entirely different than how you and I insure our cars.
