An incredibly rare black Lamborghini Diablo VT recently caught fire in the county of Essex in the UK. The car appears to be a total loss, with the owner’s insurance company already having apparently written it off. Despite claims from the owner that he will try to buy it from the insurance company. The Mirror reports that the driver said he saw smoke coming from the back, which he assumed to be the clutch, but before he had chance to pull over, the fire erupted from the engine bay. Thankfully the Essex Fire and Rescue Service hastily extinguished the fire, although the car is still severely damaged. The car, reportedly an import from New Zealand, is one of just 30 right hand drive units, so it’s going to be very hard to find a like-for-like replacement.
